OUR STORY
Our journey began with a simple belief: every young person deserves a safe place to heal, grow. And be fully themselves. For years, we watched families, caregivers, and youth struggle to find programs that were not only trauma-informed, but also gender-affirming, compassionate, and truly youth-centered. Repeatedly, we saw young people, especially female youth and males who identify as female, fall through the cracks of systems that were never built with their identities or experiences in mind.
That gap became our calling. What started as a vision slowly grew into a mission. We spent months researching best practices, meeting with professionals, listening to youth voices, and learning from those who had walked this path before us. We built our program with intention, every policy, every room, every activity shaped by the question:
“What would make a young person feel safe, valued, and empowered here?”
Opening an STRTP in Homeland wasn’t just a business decision; it was an act of commitment. We invested in training, licensing, trauma-informed practices, and gender-affirming care because we knew that healing requires more than structure, it requires heart. Today, our home stands as a place where youth ages 12-17 can rediscover their strength, rebuild trust, and imagine a future filled with possibility. We are proud to be a new STRTP, because it means we get to build our culture from the ground up, rooted in faith, love, hope, dignity, compassion, and unwavering belief in the potential of every young person who walks through our doors.
Our story is still being written, but its foundation is clear: “Healing begins with safety, and growth begins with being seen.”
